Baylee says some funny things.
When asked what is the greatest commandment, Jesus answered, "The first is 'Hear of Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah, and you must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole mind, and with your whole strength.' The second is this, 'You must love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:28 (Compare Matthew 22:36-40)
"For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments, and yet his commandments are not burdensome." 1 John 5:3
If we find a commandment burdensome, then we need to continue to study God's word, to get to know him better, as we do that our mind is adjusted to His line of thinking and we come to love his commandments, then they become a delight to us.
Jehovah, assigned Jesus, approving him as his greatest spokesman, recognizing his son and commanding his followers to listen to Jesus. (Matthew 17:5; Acts 3:23)
Jesus never promoted his own thoughts or thinking on matters but faithfully, spoke God's words to the disciples. John 12:49,50.
Here are some of the directions, yes commandments Jesus gave:
"I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all with know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves." John 13:34,35. (Compare John 15:12,13 to see how deep that love is to be.)
Other commands Jesus gave us are: Matthew 6:33, "Keep on seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness..."
Matthew 28:18-20 "Make disciples of people of all the nations...teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you." How long were we to do this? Jesus says, "until the conclusion of the system of things."
Just some thoughts that came to my mind, stimulated by your post.
