Thanksgiving 2008

We had Thanksgiving at our house.
It takes two of us to pull it off.
Donna does most of the work

Alicia and her three kids came over,
Jacob, Samantha, Noah.
Also had Val, Victoria, Dan, Jen, Jackson, Morgan, Taylor, Madelyn,
Robyn, Mr. Beals,

The turkey was good; however, next year we are going to get a fresh turkey rather than a frozen one.
Must admist it is a lot of work for two 70+ year olds. Also first the time we cooked the trukey in a plastic bag. It worked out ok.

No kids were over when the turkey neck got done, so I put salt and pepper on it ate it myself. I offered Donna some, but she passed.
Any other of you guys out there that like turkey neck. It is good dark meat.
I plan to get a fresh turkey for Christmas, if we cook a turkey.

I tasted our little turkey neck. Alittle stringy for me. Greg ate the liver. The white meat was the best. Nice & tender and moist.

it is alot of work-
but fun too, having family there to enjoy the day with.

hopefully, others helped by bringing some of the side dishes or desserts and were on clean up duty!

We had a good day. Gramps helped me a lot. Vallerie brought the famous red, green, cream cheese fruit jello. It was delicious. Alisha brought apple juice for the children to drink and Jen & Dan brought a great big apple pie. Someone brought ice cream, that I found in our freezer the next day. The little ones had fun playing "Twister". Of course, the Moms, Victoria and Grandma Val had to play too. Vic was the winner because she has those loonng arms and legs. We were happy to have Pat join us.
