Of course Latter-day Saints believe in grace. I think that is part of where our happiness stems from is that we can be saved!
Of course Joseph Smith is not as important as the Savior. I love the quote about everything else being appendeges. Keeps me seeing the big picture and helps me organize my own spiritual priorities when time gets stretched or limited or life gets complicated.
